Save The Olentangy
Save the Mighty Olentangy River.
The Olentangy River near The Ohio State University is one of Central Ohio’s greatest bass fisheries and many anglers want to save it. Many faithful fans make the pilgrimage over the numerous bridges of the River on gameday heading toward the Horseshoe Stadium and peer down at the “Mighty Olentangyâ€. This has been a time honored tradition for years. There are groups that want to change the way the Olentangy flows by destroying the very dam that makes it so mighty. Our tax dollars that have been paid as a fine for the dumping of City sewage into the Olentangy River is being diverted to pay for a project to destroy the dam instead of cleaning up the sewage being poured into the River. This is absolutely wrong. Let’s save the Olentangy and use the tax dollars to clean up the sewage. Join us in sending Mayor Coleman a letter saying you want to save the Mighty Olentangy River today.
Watch the true story of anglers who have lost their spots on the Olentangy because of dam destruction and of other anglers who want to save the 5th Avenue Dam.
